PURP POS is a workplace point-of-sale application for businesses using PURP. Your business controls employee access, register configuration and the customer records it maintains.

Information processed

Configured payment providers process payment credentials. PURP records the transaction information needed for receipts, reconciliation and refunds. Card entry on a separate payment terminal is handled by that provider.

Use and access

Information supports retail operations, employee authentication, authorized hardware execution, security, record-keeping, reporting and troubleshooting. Access is limited by business, location and staff permissions.

Authorized business staff can access records within their permissions. Service providers, including Google Cloud/Firebase for infrastructure and authentication, process information to operate the platform. Business-enabled integrations receive the data needed to perform their configured functions. Information may also be disclosed where legally required.

Device permissions

Local-network access on iOS discovers and connects to approved receipt printers. Android may request access to a connected USB printer. Managed devices may receive register configuration from the business. These capabilities do not authorize a sale or hardware operation without the platform's register and permission checks.

Security and retention

Platform requests use encrypted connections. Records are retained for the business's operational, accounting and legal requirements. Authorized deletion or de-identification follows the applicable retention rules. Uninstalling the app does not delete business records held by the platform.

Account and data deletion requests

Employee accounts are provisioned by the business. Contact your business administrator to request removal of employee access or deletion of personal information. Customers should contact the business that holds their purchase records.

You may also contact PURP support and identify the business and the account concerned. We verify the request and coordinate with the business. Do not send passwords, payment credentials or identity documents through the initial contact form. Records that must be retained for accounting, fraud prevention or legal requirements may be retained after access is removed; the response will explain applicable limits.
